This is a reliable, high-quality black & white laser printer that you can find for less than $400 used. Replacement toner costs about $40 per 20,000 impressions if you buy a generic brand. Replacement fusers cost about $100 per 100,000 impressions. The lifespan of the printer seems to be approximately 800,000 impressions. This is the model used by Contagion Press for book guts before 2020. This thing is a workhorse, but toner is getting harder to find for it since it's an older model. If you can stockpile some toner you'll be good to go with regular maintenance. Max page size: tabloid (11 x 17 inches). |
